Founded at Ditchley Park in the United Kingdom in 1969, the International Institute of Communications (IIC) is the longest-established global, independent, non-profit organization of its kind. The IIC has a worldwide membership, coordinated through a London-based secretariat. Its national chapters hold regular meetings on issues that reflect local preoccupations.
The Canadian Chapter of the IIC, known as IIC Canada, has brought together the communications industry, government and academia to analyze and debate Canadian and international trends in broadcasting, telecommunications, and media production. IIC Canada's annual conference provides a forum for Canadian and international business executives, cabinet ministers, government officials, media, and academics to engage on critical issues impacting the networks that connect us, and the content they carry.
Other national chapters of the IIC include Asia, Australia, France, Italy and the United Kingdom.
The IIC welcomes new members from all areas of communications. For more information, please visit the IIC website at www.iicom.org.
